Delivery Systems
Wednesday, September 1, 2010, 09:41 PM
Your traffic is not the only critical point of your business, your product delivery system is very important too. A good delivery system can be the difference from running your business with ease, or running a business in total chaos.

There are many ways you can run your delivery system when doing business on the internet. If you sell an actual physical product you can sign up with a drop ship service, where you have a group of people send out your product for you every time a purchase is made. If you sell a downloadable or software product, you need to make sure your delivery system scripts are up to par to make delivery of the product as simple as possible.. When you have a product that is downloadable you have a little more flexibility with your delivery system. For instance in our portfolio of websites we sell some downloadable products or services, and for many of our sites we are able to run the whole website from a cell phone. I personally like to travel around the world a lot and being able to control certain essential functions of our websites is critical to daily business, so I have many of our site’s essential functions able to be controlled by a cell phone, which is very convenient.

In conclusion, how you delivery your product is just as important to how you market your product, for your personal convenience and convenience and ease of shopping experience for your customers.

Watch Your Overhead. It Could Mean Your Business
Wednesday, August 25, 2010, 09:21 PM
When starting an internet business, overhead is very important. One of the main reasons people start internet businesses is to have low overhead, but some times people forget about this key point.

I recently had a friend that started an internet business, yes I helped her with some internet marketing and we got some hundred thousand people to her site within the first month, but her site was a free site for it’s customers. The site cost her about $500 a month to run, she was so overwhelmed by the traffic that I helped her bring in within the first month that she trying to figure out a way that she could switch her business model and start monetizing all the traffic that she was receiving, which was fine and a great idea. But while she was trying to figure out her next move month after month she was getting charged $500 a month to run her site. As time and money were fighting against her, she continued to struggle to find out how she was going monetize the traffic. We’ll after about 7 months, even though she had more traffic than most would love, she ended up closing down the site due to the website’s operating cost aka overhead. The moral of the story is when you start your internet business keep your overhead price in mind. You can start and run an internet business for as little as $7 a month these days, there’s no reason to over extend your overhead. Also with many people new to starting internet businesses, at $7 a month, it gives you good amount of months to waste as you start to establish your business to make some serious money.

In conclusion, take it easy, you’ve decided to build a business on the internet for a reason and for certain advantages, one of the main advantages being low overhead. There’s no reason to get crazy, start your business slow on the operating cost, but heavy on the marketing effort, and as the business grows and you start making some serious money, then grow the operating cost.

Are PPC Ads Still Effective For You?
Wednesday, August 18, 2010, 07:00 PM
Are PPC (Pay Per Click) ads still effective for many of you out there? At this time I only know of a few internet marketers that are still using ppc ads. I personally think ppc ads are still a good marketing tool for most internet marketers, but prices for clicks on keywords have definitely seen a rise. We at S.Cain.net don’t usually pay for a lot of marketing, we use a lot of guerrilla tactics that are usually free. For many of our site projects we use search engine optimization instead of ppc ads.

PPC ads still remain a great way to gain initial traffic for a newly launched site, but after your site has been around for awhile, you should naturally adapt other better low cost marketing methods to use for the life of your internet business. Some of these marketing methods are an Affliate program, search engine optimization, viral marketing, and email marketing. All these marketing methods cost little to nothing to execute and bring in big traffic results. Execution of these marketing methods are explained in detail in the S.Cain Report.

In conclusion, the moral of the story is that you should be getting the most out of your marketing while paying the least amount possible. Many people just throw a ton of money at ppc ads and expect the world, and many times the story never results as such, and then they’re disappointed. They need to implement an all around marketing campaign in addition to their ppc ads, and then they probably will achieve the marketing and traffic big time results they desire.

Article Marketing
Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 08:43 PM
I recently received some emails inquiring about article marketing. Article marketing can be a great way to market and become known as an authority on a subject. When article marketing you should choose subjects that your audience is eager to know about, and then you should pour out your knowledge on the subject.

There’s a particular format that most use when writing on a subject.. The article usually starts with an introduction on the subject, then a thesis\theme topic kind of like what was taught in your high school English class. Then you have the body of your message or article, and then last but not least you r conclusion. Article marketing can be very effective as a marketing tactic for the search engines too, as search engines love sites with fresh content, “Content Is King.” So if you are a planning on using article marketing as one of your tools for marketing on the internet, plan to consistently write many articles to build up content and build your presence around the search engines. You can also submit your content to article submission sites.

Google's Changes part 2
Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 09:33 PM
I read more recent news on Google's new changes. There doesn't seem to be too much of a change from their previous workings. It just seams that links from social media and social bookmarking sites may start to be weighted differently. I'm sure there will be new optimiztion tactics needed. We will definitely keep you posted. As of right now the changes seem to be mostly link related.

Until further information comes out, I'm sure if you continue to link to directories, social media, article submissions, and reciprocal links your links will continue to be weighted just fine.
